Description
The MSR Hubba NX 1-Person Lightweight Backpacking Tent is the quintessential 3-season backpacking tent. The freestanding design features pole geometry and a non-tapered floor that maximizes space with 18 square feet of floor area (85×30 inches), and a peak interior height of 36 inches. A generous vestibule provides an additional 9-square-feet for boots, packs, and gear storage. The adjustable, cross-ventilating rainfly features a kickstand vent and rollup vestibule for stargazing. Setting up camp is a snap, thanks to the unified hub-and-pole system, and color-coded clips. The ultra-compact compression stuff stack packs the tent down to 18×6 inches for easy transport. For fast and light travel, the body of the tent can be left behind, and a minimalist shelter constructed using a footprint (sold separately), poles, and rainfly. Complete setup weighs 2.9 pounds, minimum setup weighs 2.5 pounds. Includes tent, poles, rainfly, stakes, guy lines, and compression stuff sack.
Mountain Safety Research
MSR has always been a company of engineers, inventors and unruly dreamers. Larry Penberthy started the company in 1969 on a personal crusade against unsafe equipment. Today, we’re still an intrepid team obsessed with creating the most reliable, high-performance gear possible. Whether it’s defying the status quo in equipment design or radically shifting the social mindset, we believe the greatest innovations—and explorations—are inspired by the world’s unruly dreamers.
