Greg –
I bought this as my entry into home batteries. I paired it with a 200w solar panel to use in case of power outages. It’s enough to power most full-size fridges for a few hours, so it has paid for itself already by saving my fridge contents a couple of times.
Beyond being the best budget home battery, its size makes it quite easy to bring along camping (it’s still fairly heavy so I wouldn’t bring it in the backcountry).
It’s great for charging all devices quickly and easily. The battery itself also charges very quickly.
The main drawback of this battery is its small capacity, but you get what you pay for in that regard with every portable “solar generator”. It’s certainly enough for any camping trip, and the ability to recharge it quickly via solar means even the small capacity doesn’t matter as long as the sun is shining (you can charge the battery & things from the battery at the same time).
All in all, I’d agree with the majority of reviews that say this is the absolute best entry-level solar generator on the market.
