Greg –
This is my go-to for camping. It’s the best size-to-capacity unit you can buy. Being DC-only (USB) allows it to be smaller and more energy efficient than units that have AC (3-prong plugs). The built-in light is great, so you don’t have to pack a lantern. You also don’t have to pack charging bricks as the high-voltage USB ports take care of that, so charging things like laptops at full speed is no problem (make sure you have a high-speed USB-C cord). As for charging the unit, you will need a lower capacity (sub-28V) 100W(ish) solar panel if you’re going that route. I tried unsuccessfully to trickle-charge it with my small, low-voltage 20-watt solar panel but it was too low-powered for it to even recognize. You can also charge it via the DC output in your car. I found that I can use my Chromebook charger to charge the unit. I highly recommend this unit if you need more capacity than the battery banks that can fit in your pocket (this one has far more capacity than any of them). If you need AC outlets, the Bluetti EB3A is great for that.
